Four Ways we
are Different from other Craniosacral and Polarity Therapy Training
Centers
1) CSES
represents a synthesis of three complementary systems:
- Polarity
Therapy- We began our professional careers in Polarity Therapy
in 1979.
- Craniosacral
Therapy - based on the work of Franklyn Sills, RCST, RPP.
- Craniosacral
Therapy is an excellent complement to Polarity, having been brought
to prominence in this community by Sills, of Karuna Institute in Devon,
England. We were trained with Sills, and we hosted his last North
American foundation training (started Sept. 1998) as well as his advanced
courses every other year since then.
- Trauma Resolution
- based on the work of Peter Levine, PhD.
- We emphasize
psychotherapeutic applications of Polarity and Craniosacral Therapy.
Anna Chitty has extensive training with Dr. Levine, author of Waking
the Tiger, which complements the Polarity model perfectly and
provides an effective, non-cathartic counseling dimension for trauma
resolution.
- 2)
Pre- and Peri-natal
Psychology
- based on the work of Ray Castellino, DC, RPP, RCST.
- In addition,
we are strongly supportive of Castellino's model emphasizing the significance
of earliest life experience. We have hosted his "birth process
workshops" and related events since 1995. Our progras content
reflects this experience, integrating Craniosacral and Polarity principles
with understanding birthing dynamics.

3)
With CSES you can study in beautiful and culturally vibrant Boulder,
Colorado. Home of the University of Colorado (24,000 students),
Naropa Institute, Rolf Institute, Hakomi, Integrative Body Psychotherapy,
Boulder School of Massage Therapy, and dozens of other holistic
health organizations, Boulder is one of the continent's primary
capitals of alternative healing teaching and practice. Student housing
is abundant, learning and entertainment options are numerous and
diverse, and nature-centered recreation possibilities are fantastic
(ski in the winter, hike in the summer). Boulder averages over 300
days of sunshine per year!
4)
We feel that we have designed a more experiential approach to learning
than most other trainings. In our classes, education arises from
experience!
Our Philosophy:
Practitioner skills of relationship and recognition precede technique,
and practical learning arises from experience. We strive for an
effective educational environment based on a sensitive, respectful
and experiential learning style, together with comprehensive coverage
of certification content.
