Dr. Stone's Diplomas
Randolph Stone, DO, DC, ND (1890-1981), founder of Polarity Therapy, received his medical education in the early part of the twentieth century. Born in Austria, his birth name was Rudolph Nathan Bautsch (key info needed to make sense of these certificates). He Americanized his name to his wife's surname in the 1930s. You can read other biographical information elsewhere on this site. Photos on these certificates are the only pictures of him in his youth that we are aware of.
These certificates were in the possession of Stone's protege Pierre Pannetier and were transferred to Murrieta Foundation when Pierre's office was closed in 1982 (Pierre spent that year living in the care of Murrieta staff). They came to us at the end of Murrieta Foundation's operations in 1988. We have had them in storage and have displayed them at APTA conferences held in the Rocky Mountain region but now, due to high-speed internet, we can share them more widely. Copies of all these have been given to APTA, as part of the forthcoming "Virtual Polarity Museum" at www.polaritytherapy.org.
